Choosing Master's Degree

The first step is that the candidate has their personal and professional objectives clear, that is to say, what we want to be in the personal and professional field, and what we must do to get it.  There are a lot of people coming here to be oriented and they get busy when we ask them about it. According to the kind of master's degree; there are two types:

Especialization programs: There are programs focused on a specific matter which coincides with the fuctional areas of the company, like GESCO, MDF or COEX. Furthermore, these masters are used to have assistants that have experience or are interested in acquiring this especialization, or are in the first steps of their professional career and need the especialization for being more useful to the company they work for.
Management programs: They are programs for people with relevant experience in companies. They usually focus on directives, senior and junior managers and people with responsibility positions and some professional experience. Those are our MBA Executive y PSDV.

In general, the first steps of the professional career of a person is oriented to specialization. That person is going to begin by doing tasks under supervision, and the value that contributes to the organization is marked by the quality in the execution of his job. The more specialized the worker is, the greater capacity s/he have to take decisions and use the appropriate tools for the execution the job.  It is the moment to do a specialization master's degree.

As time goes by, the person is acquiring experience and assuming greater responsibilities. Each time s/he takes more and more time in managerial tasks and less time in the execution of job, thus becoming a supervisor. When some managing experience is acquired, it would be the moment to do a program of management, above all if you aim at overcoming the functional area of the company. Participants with some experience in the class, and above all the ones which show how to execute management positions are needed for these programs.

Anyway, a person with some experience must equally consider if s/he takes a  master's degree, especially if there is a continuous future plan in his mind within the busines field (finances, marketing, commercial, etc..) where s/he is, or if s/he carries ot an MBA Executive, more general and oriented to general management.
